Steam Day - With GP39

The railway will be running GP39 which was built in 1930 by Hudswell Clarke of Leeds, it was built for the Surrey County Council where it was used in the construction of the A31 Guildford bypass. In 1934 it was sold the Penrhyn Slate Quarry. In 1966 it moved into perseveration firstly at Bressingham before moving to the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway finally arriving at Statfold in 2010.

Our museum, diner and children’s play areas will also be open throughout the day.
